Hello GHR,
I was at the Singer must die gig at forest last night and wanted to
ask if would be possible to tape and bootleg their show next week.
I will not sell the recording - I only trade like for like with true
fans but thought It would be respectful to ask before I bring my tape
recorder. I look forward to your reply.
Best regards, Ken

Hi, Thanks for asking but we (the band) do not allow tape recorders
(even at the forest). It would take away from the idea that we are just
playing live for us and for the audience - When a tape recorder is involved
the feeling changes.
Also the songs are changing and some are not published. Personally I
always feel for the people sitting near the tape recorder - I once saw
a fight break out cause someone sneezed and the guy(who was recording)
was pissed off cause the recording was affected.
So the answer is no, but the band appreciate you asking.
Cheers, *

Hi, I REally do not appreciate your attitude - I'm a fan of the band
and make it clear that I will not sell the recording.
I just wanted to find out what the policy was. I could sit at the back
away from the audience.
What will happen if I'm caught?
Ken

hi ***,
at this point in time there is no digutal file download of steve's record.
MP3 files are also really compressed and I understand steve hates
compression.
But I realise some people are listening mainly from their laptop or
PC these days
my advise would be to purchase the CD @
http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&sku=468777
and then play it back on your preferred player.
OR wait - at some point it should be available in a digital download
format.
many thanks for your email.
best regards, martha

Subject: cacophony
Hi!
Just listened to your 'all things real'. The Press Release on your site
states that your cover of Shelter From The Storm "builds to a cacophony".
Huh? A harsh discordant mixture of sound? Dissonance? Discord? Whoever
wrote this is selling you short. I hear the discord....but it's a euphonious
discord which does those old men with broken teeth a justice rarely
served in a Dylan cover. As for your own songs? Sublime.

Hello Steve,
I am a radio host from Music FM/ RADIO GuangDong/ China. Quite accidentally
i ran into your site and found you are making very good music!
You are not merely using acoustic instruments but introuducing a little
bit electronic sound and effect into the music, which i think it's so
much distinctive and flesh in this music genre.
Keep on doing it!
Glad to recieve from you. i understand the problem and had thought that
there should be hard to do it for an independent artist...i don't mind
to wait and will keep on clicking on the site constantly to see what's
news about Steve.Good to him and the group! and Good to his music!
Peace!
